Gerd Reinfeldt (Choral Conductor)

Born: July 15, 1919 - Breslau, Germany (today: Wrocław, Poland)
Died: May 22, 2012 - Bremen, Germany

The German choral conductor, Gerd Reinfeld, was Kantor of St. Remberti in Bremen for many years. A year after the founding of the Evangelische Stadtkantorei Bremerhaven in 1964, he founded the Bach-Chor Bremerhaven as an oratorio choir of the Bremer Landeskirche at the Große Kirche. Since then, both oratorio choirs have enriched the cultural life not only of Bremerhaven, but of the entire Elbe-Weser triangle.
