Octopus Ensemble (Vocal & Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 2000 - Belgium

Octopus, a flexible ensemble ranging from 8 to 80 singers, consists of the Chamber Choir, the Symphonic Choir and the Soloists. All of these are conducted by their founder Bart Van Reyn.

Octopus has worked with conductors as Ottavio Dantone, Richard Egarr, Guy Van Waas, Michel Tabachnik, Etienne Siebens, James MacMillan and Philippe Herreweghe. Recently they were invited to sing in Concertgebouw Brugge, de Vlaamse Opera, Bozar, deSingel, Festival van Vlaanderen Gent, Haydn-Festival Brühl. This season they are touring in Belgium and The Netherlands with the performance Almschi.
