Odeon-Ensemble München (Vocal & Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 2002 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany

The Odeon-Ensemble München (= OEM) was founded in 2002. The ensemble members are in addition members of renowned orchestras in Munich, teachers at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium and the Musikhochschule München, and even outstanding students of both institutions. The Ensemble offers to young musicians and singers the possibility to play together with members of the well-known Munich Orchestra and to experience concerts.

The repertoire of the OEM puts together classical oratorio and literal exhibition´s works (J.S. Bach, Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Bruckner) with a second focus on the choral song of Romanticism and of classical Modernity. The artistic direction is in the hands of Michael Hartmann.
