Christopher Moore (Baritone, Conductor, Composer)

Born: April 14, 1997 - Brentwood, Essex, England

The English baritone, conductor and composer, Christopher Moore, studied in Brentwood School (2008-2015). Since September 2015, he is Choral Scholar and second year undergraduate of Trinity College Cambridge, reading Music (expected graduation in 2018).

At Trinity, Christopher Moore sings in the world-famous Trinity College Choir of Cambridge under the direction of Stephen Layton in a busy schedule of services, recordings, broadcasts and concerts. His work with the choir has involved high-profile concerts around the world, most recently in Australia and Hong Kong, and broadcasts on ABC Classic FM and BBC Radio 3 with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He also sings with King Henry's VIII Choir. He frequently performs as a soloist in concerts and master-classes - upcoming projects include a performance of Benjamin Britten's Winter Words and a master-class with Susan Gritton. He currently studies with Roderick Earle, Professor of Singing at the Royal College of Music (RCM).

Christopher Moore is also increasingly active as a conductor, and is a conductor of the Trinity College Chamber Orchestra and the Trinity Singers, the college's choral society (Trinity College Music Society). Recent projects have included B. Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, Edward Elgar's Serenade for Strings and Frank Bridge's Suite for Strings. In April 2017 he took part in a masterclass with renowned conductor Jonathan Brett.

As a composer, Christopher Moore's work has been performed by a variety of ensembles around the country, with his recent Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis receiving its premiere by the Trinity College Choir of Cambridge in May 2017. Christopher is a particularly experienced arranger and has recently worked on producing transcriptions and arrangements of the works of film and TV composer Barry Gray (Thunderbirds, UFO, Captain Scarlet).
