Kathleen Livingstone (Soprano)
Born: Scotland, UK
The Scottish soprano Kathleen Livingstone studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, The Royal College of Music and with Pierre Bernac. In 1975 she was winner of the NMFS award.
Since then has pursued a flourishing career both at home and abroad. Kathleen Livingstone performs regularly with choral societies and music clubs as well as broad casting for the BBC in recitals, choral an concert performances. Recent engagements have included performances of Britten's Les Illuminations with the Zürich Chamber Orchestra, Berlioz Nuits d'Ete, Haydn's Creation whichwas broadcast live on BBC radio, Brittens War Requiem and Händel's Messiah in the Albert Hall.
Kathleen Livingstone is married to the distinguished tenor Neil Mackie and together they have presented their highly successful recital programmes worldwide, including a Royal Command Performance at Balmoral Castle. Kathleen Livingstone is a Professor of Singing at the Royal College of Music.
