Thomas Lander (Baritone)

Born: Sweden

The Swedish baritone, Thomas Lander, studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and the National College of Opera.

Thomas Lander's operatic debut came with Norrlandsoperan in the 1982-1983 season, and he was a resident singer at Hamburgische Staatsoper in 1986-1987. This was followed by a couple of years at the Volksoper in Vienna, where parts he created included those of the Count in Figaro and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte. He has been resident singer at the Staatsoper in Hannover since January 1990. He has also given guest performances at Opéra de Lyon and at Aix-en-Provence festival. His concert performances have also taken him to Italy, Iceland, Israel, Germany and Austria.
