Gerald Kegelmann (Conductor)

Born: Germany

The German conductor Gerald Kegelmann studied at the College of Music and the University of Heidelberg. He studied musical teaching and as well as church music.

After finishing his studies he was active as church and school musician. Since 1975 he teaches as professor for choir directing and choir education at the National University for Music and Art in Heidelberg Mannheim, whose rector he was from 1986 to 1997. Concert tours with different choirs led him to Italy, Ireland, France, Spain, Austria, Canada, Russia and the USA. He also e also made guest appearnces in Brazil, Portugal, Hungary and Russia.
