Stephen Janzen (Bass-Baritone)

Born: USA

The American baritone, Stephen Janzen, was a principal artist with the Metropolitan Opera National Company and has been a finalist in the San Francisco Opera Auditions and participated in the Merola Opera Program.

Stephen Janzen has since performed with the opera companies of San Francisco, St. Paul, San Jose, Sacramento, Stockton, Washington, Pocket Opera of San Francisco, Nor th Bay Opera, and Townsend Opera Players. Appearances include roles in Verdi's Falstaff and Puccini's Tosca with the Sacramento Opera, and in 1999 as Boss Steckle in the UC Davis production of Jerome Rosen's Emperor Norton. In 1962, he appeared at the Carmel Bach Festival under Sandor Salgo.
