Born: 1961 - Halle, Germany
The German tenor, Algirdas Janutas, began his studies at the Glinka Conservatoire, Minsk, Belarus, with Slava Polozov. He then studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music under Professor Virgilius Noreika.
Algirdas Janutas has performed rnany roles at the Lithuanian National Opera, the Latvian National Opera and the Augsburg State Opera. He has participated in concerts and festivals throughout the world and recorded with international cornpanies. In 2001 he took part in performances of the Bach Passions under the baton of Robert Canetti at the Abu-Gosh Music Festival in Israel.
