Birgit Jacobi-Kircheis (Soprano)

Born: Dresden, Saxony

The German soprano, Birgit Jacobi-Kircheis, was a from 1987 to 1994 a member of the Philharmonischen Kinderchores, since 1996 of the Sächsischen Vocalensembles Dresden, Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann) and the Gaechinger Cantorey (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann). From 1998 to 2004 studied in Leipzig, graduating with a “Magistra artium” in the subjects of theology and sociology. In 2004 she co-founded the Ensemble Variatio, which consists of nine singers, and worked with the Leipziger Bach-Collegium, Lautten Compagney Berlin (Director: Wolfgang Katschner) and other ensembles such as the Dresdner Kammerchor, Ensemble Polyharmonique and the Sächsischen Vocalensemble.
