Junger KonzertChor Düsseldorf (Choir)

Founded: 1991/1997 - Düsseldorf, Germany

Junger KonzertChor Düsseldorf (= JKCD) is a mixed choir with 80 members (October 2004) at the age between 20 and 45 years. The JKCD understands their choir work as becoming acquainted as possible with the entire range of the choir music from 16th to 20th Centuries, to rehearse it and to perform it in concerts.

Apart from the orchestral concerts special attention is given to performing a-capella choral music. The weekly rehearsals are accompanied by correct formation. Two rehearsal weekends per year take place, as well as one-week choir spare time and/or concert tour. In this time the choir prepares two to three concert programs and bring these for the performance. Additionally to the concerts, the choir is represented also with some service organisations and other meetings.
