The Austrian contralto, Sigrid Horvath, studied at the Kunstuniversität in Graz with Wolfgang Gamerith, Christel Borchers and Claudia Rüggeberg, and at the Musikhochschule in Basel with Kurt Widmer. She received stipend from the American Institute for Musical Studies (AIMS) and the Walter-Kaminsky-Stiftung of Munich. In 2002 she received the 2nd Prize for singing at the XIII International Bach Competition in Leipzig. |
