The Italian soprano soprano and pianist, Ilenya Goss, was born in in a Waldensian family by her father and Catholic by her mother. She grew up in the Pellice valley, after classical school she studied Philosophy, graduating with a thesis on freedom and evil in Kant, and Medicine and surgery, graduating with a thesis on the History of Psychiatry and qualifying for the profession of surgeon. She followed musical studies, first of piano and then of singing. She has completed her musical studies at the Conservatorio "G. Verdi" di Torino, before she continued her studies under the guidance of M.o L. Nicassio, with particular attention to the romantic piano repertoire.
Ilenya Goss was organist and for several years choir-master of children's voices. She teaches and prepares for the study of the piano. She dedicated herself to the composition of light music winning the selection for publication in collective collection "pagine altre" (other pages) (Track Record Production 2000). After experience in theater (Università Piemonte Orientale) and training for singers and actors (Accademia Musicale-Padova under the guidance of V. Matteucci; atelier "La Voce" - Vicenza under the guidance of F. Grimaldi), she worked with the group "In...Cantando" directed by R. Zavaglia performing Italian and foreign musical works.
Taking care of the repertoire of sacred music, Ilenya Goss has performed concerts and liturgical animation as a soloist also in the context of music festivals (Messa degli Artisti - Modena) and at the Basilica Mauriziana in Torre Pellice (TO). She was also soprano and organist of the Coro Polifonico della Basilica di San Maurizio di Pinerolo.
Ilenya Goss is interested in music therapy studies.
From 2007 to 2010, Ilenya Goss performed in duo with Mo Renato Pizzardi with whom she held important concerts as "Frau Mausika", an evening dedicated to the cantatas of J.S. Bach at the Tempio Valdese di Torre Pellice in collaboration with the flautist Nadia Caneva, or the "Florilegium Vocis et Organi" in the Chiesa di San Giacomo di Luserna San Giovanni (TO). She is currently an organist at the Chiesa Valdese di Pinerolo, soprano and collaborator in the choir. |
