The Polish organist, pianist and conductor, Karol Gołębiowski [Golebiowski], studied at the Conservatory of Warsaw with Joachim. Grubich, the at the Geneva Conservatory with Lionel Rogg, and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Herman Verschraegen. He was a prize-winner at the international organ competitions in Nuremberg, Linz, Bruges, Munich, Speyer and Rome, which established his international reputation and marked a beginning of a brilliant career. |
