Kameron Ghanavati (Tenor)

Born: April 20, ____ - Ocean City, New Jersey, USA

The American tenor, Kameron Ghanavati, studied at Ocean City High School in Ocean City, New Jersey (2008-2012). He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Delaware in Newark under the tutelage of Dr. Blake Smith (2012-2016). He has also trained with the Russian Opera Workshop in Philadelphia and at the Up North Vocal Institute in Michigan, and is an alum of Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy (2015). Since 2016, he studies for his Master of Music degree in Performance/Literature at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, studying voice with Professor Robert Swensen.

Kameron Ghanavati has performed all over the tri-state area with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Mastersingers of Wilmington, Youth Opera of South Jersey, the University of Delaware Chorale, and Annapolis Opera. Highlights include performing the role of Laurie in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, Belmonte in W.A. Mozart's Die Entfürhrung aus dem serail, and Almeric in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta. He collaborated with his colleagues in the complete presentation of J.S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244) in March 2017, conducted by David Chin. His most recent performances include the title role in Werther with University of Delaware Opera Theatre (May 2016) and Nerone in Claudio Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea with Eastman Opera Theatre in November 2017

Kameron Ghanavati has worked at Sibley Music Library in Rochester (since August 2016); as Intern Blogger for the Communications Department at Eastman School of Music (since 2016) and has been published in the most recent issue of Notes; as Tenor Section Leader/Soloist at Christ Episcopal Church of Pittsford in Pittsford (town), New York (since 2016); as Intern at Jazz90.1 WGMC-FM in Rochesterk (since May 2017). He currently lives in Rochester, New York.
