Gelders Bach Collegium (Chamber Choir)

Founded: 2008 - Apeldoorn, the Netherlands

The GelderlsBach Collegium directed by Wolfgang Lange is a project choir that several times a year on Sunday performs J.S. Bach's cantata and motet at the Grote Kerk in Apeldoorn. The choir is accompanied by a professional instrumental ensemble. The cantata services in the Grote Kerk originated in 2008 at the initiative of the then pastor of the Grote Kerk and the conductor.

The choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 22:00 pm in rene building, next to the Grote Kerk. The performances are frequent, the rehearsal time is limited: there are four rehearsals per performance. This therefore requires a good preparation of the singers and a snappy pace of study at rehearsals.
