The Hungarian tenor, Máté Gál, studied at the University of Pécs, and at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Tartini in Trieste. He also particpated in master-clasess with Elisa Belmonte, Georg Grün, Martine Surais Deschamps, Steven Condy, Paolo Paroni, Timothy Bentch, John Norris. He won praizes at the International Singing Competition of Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, and Crescendo Summer Institute Sárospatak.
Among his roles: Guido in La chatte métamorphosée en femme, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore, Fenton in Falstaff, Ferrando in Così fan tutte at the Opera Houses in Trieste, Pécs and Mainz. Máté Gál is curretly a member of the Opera Studio of the Komische Oper Berlin, where he prepared for 2013-2014 season the roles of Remendado in Carmen, Mercure in Castor et Pollux, Erster Gaucho in Clivia, Arzt in Der feurige Engel, 3 . junger Offizier in Die Soldaten, Schnauz in Ein Sommernachtstraum, Joseph in La Traviata, Gérard in Les Enfants Terribles, Tenor in Nachtkonzert 4: Venezia!, Ein Jäger in Rusalka, Vater in Sieben Songs/Die sieben Todsünden. |
