During her time with the First Presbyterian Church choir, she was a featured soloist and performed George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, John Rutter’s Requiem, and works from J.S. Bach’s St. John’s Passion (BWV 245). She has performed multiple solo works, including works by W.A. Mozart, G.F. Handel, Haydn, J.S. Bach (including with Bloomington Bach Cantata Project), L.v. Beethoven, Benjamin Britten, Gabriel Fauré, and Gilbert & Sullivan. She worked for a number of years with organist and director Robert Nicholls.

Joanna Fleming's family is one of the most important things to her. Her parents provided her many musical opportunities when she was young, and her triplet sisters are very close to her.
