Roger Cericius (Boy Soprano)

Born: Germany

Roger Cericius was a member of the Knabenchor Hannover in 1984. He sang solo parts for soprano alto in a recording of Bach Cantatas under the direction of Gustav Leonhardt in his joint cantata cycle with Nikolaus Harnoncourt. As a boy he also sang in the boys' terzetto in Mozart's Zauberflöte in the Hannover opera house.

Roger Cericius was an active member (high tenor) of the Knabenchor Hannover until 1994 and belonged to the founding members of the Hannover Harmonists. He left that ensemble around 1994 because of his university studies.
