The Kazakhstanian bass, Oleg Bryjak, studied at the Music Academy and at the Conservatory of Alma-Ata. He gained first theatrical experiences with appearances with the St Petersburg National Philharmonic Concert Hall, as well as with appearances in France and Germany. In 1990 he won the 2nd Prize at the International Silvia-Geszty Singing Competition in Stuttgart.
From 1991 to 1996 Oleg Bryjak was engaged at the National Theatre of Baden in Karlsruhe. Here he sang among other things. Bartolo and Basilio in the Rossini's Il Barbiere Di Siviglia, Timur in Puccini’s Turandot, Dulcamara in Donizetti’s L'elisir D'amore, Fra Melitone in Verdi’s La Forza Del Destino, Schigolch in Alban Berg’s Lulu and Alberich in Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen. Besides he made guest appearances in Paris, Zurich, Bonn, Wiesbaden and Berlin and gave concerts in Hamburg, Cologne, Bonn and Nurnberg. Since the season 1996-1997 he is ensemble member of Deutschen Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg. Here he sang roles such as Leporello in Don Giovanni, den Vater in Hänsel Und Gretel, Alidoro in La Cenerentola und Jago in Otello. He made his debut at Wiener Staatsoper in 1998 as
