The French organist, Jacques Amade, studied organ under Daniel Roth and harmony and counterpoint under Pierre Lantier. In 1987 he won first prize “with distinction” for virtuosity (interpretation and improvisation) and the prize of the Former Pupils and Friends of the Geneva Conservatoire (Lionel Rogg’s class). In 1990 he was unanimously awarded the first prize for virtuosity of the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatoire National de Région (Marie-Claire Alain’s class). He has won several international competitions.
Jacques Amade is titular organist for the Catholic church of Saint-Joseph-Artisan, both in Paris. He manages also the municipal Academy of Music of Vincennes (France). |
