Heinrich Ludwig Carl [Karl] von Hochberg studied at Universität Leipzig (enrolled on August 8, 1732). On April 20, 1755, he married Henriette Caroline Elisabeth (von Hohenberg-Fürstenstein) von Posadowsky (Jan 14, 1731 in Kittlitztreben -Oct 18, 1764 in Berlin), but he died only 3 months later..
Heinrich Ludwig Carl von Hochberg appears with Franz Ludwig von Dietrichstein (C-22), Adam Heyno Heinrich von Flemming (C-23) and Ludwig Siegfried Vitzthum von Eckstädt (C-24) on a list of J.S. Bach's pupils in the New Bach Reader. The reason for this characterization apparently came solely from their participation in the performance of the Homage Cantata BWV 215 for Friedrich August II in 1734. In this connection, however, only the presentation of the printed text to the King by the aforementioned is documented, but not their participation in the music. Otherwise musical activities of the young noblemen or even lessons with J.S. Bach cannot be substantiated.
