Maud Meilof (Choral Conductor)

Born: 1961 - The Netherlands

The Dutch choral conductor and music teacher, Maud Meilof (1961), studied choral conducting with Barend Schuurman at the Rotterdams Conservatorium from 1987 to 1992. During and after her studies, she conducted many choirs in Rotterdam and the surrounding area.

In 2008, Maud Meilof founded the Kamerkoor Descartes. In addition, she currently conducts the Kamerkoor Ademloos from Dordrecht, Rotterdamse Koor HeNK and Octet Acht Plus uit Zeist. She also conducts the Koor van Zomerzingen every summer in France, a choir that studies and performs a fairly ambitious programme in a changing composition in a short week.

In addition to her work, Maud Meilof enjoy walking and camping, she regularly soaks up some culture in museums and concert halls, occasionally enjoy a poem and she is an avid sports watcher.
