The adult choir of Luther Memorial Church in Madison Weisconsin has over 50 members of all ages, including Univesity of Wisconnsin (UW) students. New members in all voice parts are welcome; no audition is required. The choir sings sacred music ranging from plainsong chant to contemporary compositions at 10:30 am Sunday and at festival services. (The choir usually has the second Sunday of the month off.) The choir sings in English, Latin, and occasionally German or Russian (Church Slavonic). With the exception of our student scholarship program, all regular choral and ensemble members are volunteers. Luther Memoria (LM) currently offers two choir scholarships for UW students. |
