Duo Kratschkowski (Accordion Duo)

Elena and Ruslan Kratschkowski have been performing together since 1994 and have participated in numerous festivals with a wide repertoire. They have been performing in several competitions and won a number of awards in Italy, Russia and Germany as an accordion duo.

They do live in Dresden, Germany, since 2006. They have been performing here among others in the Semperoper, in Großen Saal of the Dresdner Philharmony, in the Kreuzkirche, in the Frauenkirche, im Town Museum, in the Saxonion Art Academy (Sächsischen Akademie der Künste), in the Societätstheater and the Saxonian Parliament Building. They are well-known to the Dresdner audience and they do give a concert every year in the internationally well-known „Musik zwischen den Welten“. They did also perform at two events of the Evangelischer Kirchentag 2011 in Dresden, once at "Gemeinsam für Europa"“, where they could count the President of the European Parliament among their audience and once at "Auf dem Weg zu einer neuen Weltordnung?", where chancellor Angela Merkel was an attentive listener.

They perform regular all over Germany and abroad. The last CD with Vivaldi's "4 Jahreszeiten" in their own arrangement is their fifth CD in the last 11 years.

Elena Kratschkowski (Accordion)
Born: 1976 -Ukraine

Elena Kratschkowski is award winnter of the Youth Competition and finalist of the international accordion competItion Tscherepowez (Russland), where she received 4th rank solo.

Elena Kratschkowski first assignments were her work as concert accordion player at the Murmansk Philharmony and Petrasawodsk Philharmony. But she is not only performing, she has also conducted classical pieces with her own arrangements an contemporary pieces with the orchestra of folk instruments at the Musical Academy of Petrasawodsk. She did among others conduct the opening of the International Competition of Petrasawodsk 2000.

After relocation to Dresden, Elena Kratschkowski has been performing among others at the Binationalen Gesprächskonzert with Adriana Hölszky and Georg Katzer (Accordion & Cello) with the ensemble „El perro andaluz“ and "KlangNetz Dresden" as well as at the world premier of Reiner Lischka (Accordion & Accordion) and many more.

The ensemble El Perro Andaluz , among which performers Elena Kratschkowski counts, did receive the Culture & Support Award 2011 in Dresden.

Ruslan Kratschkowski (Accordion)
Born: 1978 - Ukraine

Ruslan Kratschkowski is award winner of the Youth Competition and the international accordion competition of Tscherepowez (Russia), where he won the gold medal solo.

Ruslan Kratschkowski has performed in with different musicians, among others at the Gesprächskonzert with Isabel Mundry (Accordion & Klarinette) and the Porträtkonzert Professoe Matthias Pintscher (Accordion & Cello), Gesprächskonzert with Rebecca Sounders (Clarinet & Accordion & Piano & Double-bass, Binationales Gesprächskonzert with Adriana Hölszky and Georg Katzer (Accordion solo and Oboe & Accordion & Double-bass) and with the ensemble "El perro andaluz" and "KlangNetz Dresden", world premiere of Reiner Lischka in the Deutsch - Russisches Kulturinstitut (Accordion & Accordion), world premiere of Christian Münch (Accordion und Bläserquintett) in the Semperoper and different projects with improvised and experimental compositions.

The ensemble El Perro Andaluz , among which performers Ruslan Kratschkowski counts, did receive the Culture & Support Award 2011 in Dresden.
