In 2019, Jacqueline Josten moved to Ohio, where she performs regularly with the Cleveland Chamber Choir, including their October 2023 performance of Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepherd and their February 2023 appearance at the National ACDA Convention. She also recently performed with Quire Cleveland for their final two seasons, as well as the Trinity Cathedral choirs, where she was the soprano soloist in their April 2023 performance of Johannes Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem. She has since returned to Nebraska to perform with Sounding Light and for the 50th anniversary of Abendmusik at First-Plymouth program as a soloist in their performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams's Serenade to Music.
Since her diagnosis of high-frequency hearing loss in 2022, Jacqueline Josten has become an outspoken advocate for aural health, and strongly encourages everyone she knows, especially her fellow musicians, to have their hearing tested regularly. She is happy to discuss her experience and use of hearing aids with anyone who is curious. |
