Bridgid Eversole (Soprano)

Born: March 31, 1978 - Greensburg, Pennsylvania, USA

The American soprano and voice instructor, Bridgid Eversole, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance University of North Carolina Wilmington (August 1996-May 2000); her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Minnesota (August 2000-May 2002); and her DMA degree in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America (August 2005-May 2009).

Described by The Washington Post as looking and sounding "stunning," Bridgid Eversole has performed operatic roles including Birdie in Blitzstein's Regina, Fiordiligi in W.A. Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte, Cleopatra in George Frideric Handel's Giulio Cesare, Nerone in Monteverdi's L'Icoronazione di Poppea, and Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto. She created the roles of Athena in Simpson's The Furies and Emily in Martin's Life in Death.

Comfortable in the concert hall as well, Bridgid Eversole has appeared as soloist in venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, and Washington, D.C.'s Constitution Hall and The Kennedy Center. She has been the featured soprano soloist for works including Carissimi's Jephte, Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria, Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, W.A. Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate, Requiem, and Vesperae Solennes de Confessore; G.F. Handel's Messiah, and numerous J.S. Bach works. She premiered A Crown of Stars, composed by Andrew Simpson, in which The Washington Post noted she "sang with intelligence and skill, floating even her highest notes effortlessly."

In addition to a busy performance schedule, Bridgid Eversole has been on the music faculty at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington (Voice Instructor: August 2003-May 2005); Garrett College in Oakland, Maryland (Music Instructor: August 2007-May 2008); Frostburg State University in Mayland (Music Instructor: August 2008-May 2009); United States Armed Forces School of Music in Virginia Beach (Voice Instructor: January 2010-June 2011); Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia (Adjunct Music Instructor: January 2010-December 2012; Assistant Professor of Music: August 2013-May 2017); Piedmont Virginia Community Colleg in Charlottesville (Associate Professor of Music: August 2018-December 2023). She is currently on the music faculties of University of Virginia in Charlottesville (Voice Instructor: since August 2023) and James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia (Voice Instructor: since August 2024) and is the Director of Education at Charlottesville Opera in Virginia (since January 2024). She also teaches privately Voice and Piano in her own BRE Music Studio in Charlottesville (since August 1999).
