Stamp honors Frederick the Great. He is standing and playing the flute. Basis for this stamp is a work of art, a painting of Adolf von Menzel. Next to Frederick J.S. Bach's son, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is sitting and playing the cembalo. In the original painting you are able to see, that C.P.E. Bach does not like the quality of Frederick's music, which is only visible in the enlarged copy of the painting. This by the way is opinion of experienced specialists who know to "read" the faces in the artwork.
