About the Artist:
My name is Lena and I'm from Seattle, Washington. I am a Stay-at-home-mother of 3 beautiful children. Though not a trained artist by any stretch of the imagination, I am an Art Docent at my 2 younger children's school - which is the BEST volunteer position I have ever had.
My interest in paper cutting started a couple years ago after working on a silhouette project for my youngest child's first grade class. While experimenting with various papers I started making cards. Soon I found myself spending hours at the craft store searching for the 'must have' papers and goodies. All of my cards are made using quality cardstock and acid free/lignin free papers.
When I'm not making cards, and after the kids have gone to bed, I can usually be found knitting or crocheting. Not only do I find them both to be completely relaxing, but I am fascinated by the idea that I can make something wearable from a piece of yarn and 2 sticks or a hook! |
