History & Mission:

Founded in 1977, Bach Musica is a choir and orchestra specialising in music of the Baroque and Classical periods.

Now widely recognized as one of New Zealand's premier Baroque ensembles, the ensemble presents a six concert series in 2011 in their home venue, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell, Auckland.

"Music that touches the soul" is the motto of Bach Musica NZ, whose mission is to add value to people's lives through the all-embracing language of music.

The ensemble consists of a 40 voice choir and a professional orchestra dedicated to performing a wide range of music from classical (Baroque to 20^th Century) to jazz.

In addition to the Subscription Series concerts, Bach Musica NZ also presents occasional Chamber Music Concerts and an Education Programme with Singing and Conducting Workshops open to all ages and levels.
