History & Mission: |
The Edinburgh Bach Choir performs three concerts a year with up to 100 singers: before Christmas, before Easter and in the late Spring. The EBC is accompanied by either Scottish Sinfonia or a professional chamber orchestra. The soloists are normally professionals.
One concert a year is usually dedicated to J.S. Bach. In addition the EBC has sung a wide repertoire in recent years, ranging from 16th to 20th century composers: Monteverdi to Constant Lambert, Byrd to Maurice Duruflé, Georg Frideric Handel to Igor Stravinsky. |
