History & Mission:

Since December 2006 the church cantatas of J.S. Bach are heard in Bergen and surroundings. Stichting Bachcantate Bergen (Vergen Bach Cantata Foundation) provides performances of the church cantatas of J.S. Bach. In cooperation with the Protestantse Gemeente Bergen a cantata service is held twice a year at the Ruïnekerk in Bergen.

The same weekend the cantata is performed elsewhere in Bergen municipality or area in the "Bach literair omlijst". Thus, including performances given at Huize Glory in Bergen, Prins Hendrik Stichting in Egmond, Scorlewald in Schoorl, Breidablick in Middenbeemster, and Cantatediensten (cantata services) in Schoorl and Middenbeemster.
