Wiener Solisten (Chamber Orchestra)

Born: Early 1960's - Vienna, Austria

The Wiener Solisten was organized of outstanding young soloists at the Vienna Academy of Music. From its first concerts in the early 1960's it was hailed as an exemplary and versatile chamber orchestra, Four of the strring players, Professors at Vienna Academy, later formed the Alban Berg Quartet, in 1971.
