VocalART, Norway (Vocal Ensemble)

Founded: Bodø, Norway

Vocal art has for more than ten years been northern Norway's leading ensemble for professional singers. The ensemble is adapted to each individual project, but consists daily of six singers living in Salten. VocalART collaborates with the major northern Norwegian cultural institutions, such as NOSO, Nordland Teater, Hamsunsenteret, Bodø Domkirke, Stormen, Musikk i Nordland and others. In recent years, VocalARTt has put a lot of work into documenting the composer Fridthjov Anderssen, and has, among other things, made the first recording of the composer's choral music. VocalART has for 2017-2018 joined cathedral cantor Kjetil Almenning as Artistic Director.

Karoline Åseng (Soprano)
