In 1994 Stuttgarter Philharmoniker (Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra) could celebrated its 70th anniversary. A year after its foundation the orchestra already gave the first live concert relay on German Radio. Its rapid artistic rise in the foundation years made possibly the engagement of such great conductors and soloists as Leo Blech, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Hans Knappersbusch, Fritz Kreizler, Carl Schuricht and Felix Weingartner, before the orchestra was split up in 1933. |
