The Randstedelijk Begeleidings Orkest (= RBO) is a professional orchestra specialising in appearances with choirs and vocal soloists. Moreover the RBO look after educational concerts and allow choral conductors qualifying themselves by means of practice.
The RBO have been set up in 1984, and since then about in about 1,100 concerts, more than 1,500 works have been performed; 800 different works of 200 different composers. The repertoire of the RBO includes all well-known choral works and new compositions of Dutch and foreign composers. Guarantor for the success of an implementation at a justified level takes the RBO at the choral unique and stands. Those qualities also have not escaped the government. The orchestra is financially supported subsidies of the Province South Holland and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. |
