The American mezzo-soprano, Katherine Osborne, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in oice Performance from Stetson University (1994-1997); her Master of Music degree in Vocal Pedagogy from Rider University (2007-2009); and her Doctor of Musical Arts/Singing Health Specialization from The Ohio State University.
Katherine Osborne has performed operatic roles and concert works from the Baroque era to the 21st century, including lesser-known operas by Haydn, Donizetti, Pauline Viardot-Garcia, and Ronald Perrera. She was recently the alto soloist in George Frideric Handel's Messiah with the Grinnell Oratorio Society, W.A. Mozart’s Requiem at the Ohio State University and J.S. Bach’s Magnificat (BWV 243) with Ohio University’s Choral Union. For the past three summers, she was a featured performer with the Härnösand Opera Festival in Sweden and will return this July (2018) to perform in a series of concerts featuring operatic and art song repertoire.
