Jeanett Neumeister (Soprano)

Born: June 18, ____ - Pensa, Russia

The Russian soprano, Jeanett Neumeister, was born in Pensa (Russia), grew up in Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany) and began her musical education there with singing and piano at the Konservatorium Schwerin. At an early age she has been a prize-winner at Jugend musiziert several times and received an Interpretation Prize for the interpretation of a contemporary work. At the Staatstheater Schwerin, as well as at the Schweriner Schloßfestspielen, she gained first stage experience in the extra chorus in pieces such as Tannhäuser, Nabucco and Turandot. She completed her singing studies at the Musikhochschule "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden with Susanne Prager. The Lied class with Kammersänger Professor Olaf Bär and Ulrike Siedel, as well as opera and oratorio courses with Kammersänger Professor Andreas Schmidt and Britta Schwarz, trained her musicality and ensemble ability. Also the participation at the Dresdner Kammerchor under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann was conducive to her musical career and development. At the conservatory, she also participated in several productions, such as Fortuna / Amori in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea and as 2nd Lady in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. In 2008 she made her debut at the Wernigeröder Schloßfestspielen in the role of Venus in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. She received vocal inspiration and impulses for her singing career with master-classes with Kammersänger Bernd Riedel, Snezana Nena Brzakovic, Ruth Ziesak, Jorma Hynninen, Kammersänger Professor Olaf Bär and Kammersänger Professor Peter Maus. In 2012, she was awarded the "Jutta-Schlegel-Gedächtnis-Stipendium".

Jeanett Neumeister was a longtime member of "The 10 Sopranos" and regularly performs with them on tour throughout Germany. She was engaged at the Staatstheater Kassel in the 2011-2012 - 2013-2014 seasons and moved to the Lucerne Theater in Switzerland in August 2014.
