Thomas Gremmelspacher (Tenor)

Born: Kenzingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

The German tenor and singing teacher, Thomas Gremmelspacher, studied music education with main subject piano (Professor Avery) at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. He studied singing at the Musikhochschule Freiburg; Postgraduate singing studies in Zürich (opera school and Lied master-class with Irwin Gage); postgraduate singing studies in Bern (Elisabeth Glauser). He attended master-classes with Aldo Baldin, Max van Egmond, among others; and had further education in functional voice training.

Since 1986, Thomas Gremmelspacher is active as soloist in the field of oratorio and Lieder. He has pasrticipated as free-lance in various radio choirs and ensembles, including Coro della Radio Svizzera (Director: Diego Fasolis), Basler Madrigalisten (Director: Fritz Näf).

Since 1986, Thomas Gremmelspacher is a teacher of singing at the Musikschule Emmendingen. From 1992 to 2000, he was teacher of singing at the Musikschule Rheinfelden. In 1992-1993, he gave singing lectures at Lectureship singing at the Konservatorium Winterthur. Since summer semester 2012, he is lecturer for singing at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
