The German soprano and voices teacher, Claudia Götting, studied first church music at the Evangelischen Kirchenmusikalischen Institut in Heidelberg, degree: B-examination (1976-1981). After the exam, she devoted herself entirely to studying singing with Professor Annemarie Grünewald at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Heidelberg-Mannheim, obtaining her Diploma in Vocal Education (1978-1982); and had Postgraduate studies: Artistic training in singing with Professor Annemarie Grünewald; accompaniment and Lied class with Susan Wenckus and Ulrich Eisenlohr; Artistic final exam: Singing (Grade 1) (1982-1988).
During her studies Claudia Götting was a member of the vocal quintet Diletto Vocale Heidelberg, which performed a-cappella works from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Solo engagements with the Heidelberger Bach-Chor under KMD Erich Hübner were followed by numerous oratoro engagements in Germany, France, Spain, Israel and Switzerland. An essential part of her training were international master-classes with Elisabeth Grümmer, Max van Egmond, Erika Schmidt Valentin and Hans-Josef Kasper.
Another focus of Claudia Götting's her artistic activity is the Lieder singing, where she works with well-known song accompanists. Master courses for song interpretation brought valuable suggestions (see page: Courses). Numerous recitals show the extensive spectrum of her repertoire.
At the Bad Hersfelder Opernfestspielen, Claudia Götting took part in several opera productions and played Marzelline in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia (2004), Frasquita in Georges Bizet's Carmen (2005, 2006), Pamina in a shortened "Children's Version" with great success W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (2007) and the Mother in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel (2008).
In addition to her concert activities, Claudia Götting has been teaching vocal body training, voice training and singing for many years. She got maried on September 10, 2011 and currently lives in Mannheim, Germany |
