Nathalie Gaudefroy (Soprano)

Born: 1976 - Bordeaux, France

The French soprano, Nathalie Gaudefroy, was born in Bordeaux and moved to Strasbourg as a young child. She began her musical studies with violin and piano at the Conservatoire of Strasbourg. Fascinated by the singing, she entered the class of Elisabeth Dillenschneider and unanimously obtained her gold medal at the CNR of Strasbourg. In addition, she participated in master-classes of Gundula Janowitz and Loraine Nubar. She was regional finalist of the competition "New Voices" in 1998. In 1999, it gained a second prize of lyric art and the prize of the orchestra with the European competition "Symphonies d'Automne" in Mâcon. The same year, she obtained a first prize with the international competition of chamber music with harp in Arles.

In parallel to continuing higher education in musicology rewarded by a D.E.U.G., Nathalie Gaudefroy can be heard in recitals and with orchestra, in particular in Baden-Baden at the "Open Akademie"...
