The Ensemble Baroque de Joux (or Ensemble de Joux) was founded at the dawn of 2011 by Marina Paglieri, to accompany the choirs of the Valley of Joux and French-speaking Switzerland, in particular La Camerata Baroque and the vocal ensemble Val d'Orbe directed by Daniel Meylan.
From 2012, the ensemble offers its own programs and original projects. Various directors has given their confidence to this ensemble, in particular Michel Cavin, Thierry Daenzer, Eric Digaud, Romain Mayor, Stéphane Renevey, Nicolas Reymond, Fabien Volery, Malgorzata Baluszynska, Olivier Hartmann, Gonzalo Martinez, Alfredo Lavalley, Corinne Tschumi, Elodie Wulliens ...
This ensemble can count, in its larger formation, more than sixty musicians graduated from HEM. Originally intended for the Baroque repertoire only, this ensemble cultivates the benefit of the double training of the essential musicians composing it to go beyond its own borders by expanding its repertoire; graduates in modern interpretation and specialized in the early music practie they can, according to the philological respect of the practice of execution, to play on old instruments or on copies period instruments for the Baroque and Classical repertoire, but also propose a romantic or contemporary repertoire with modern instruments.
In 2014, a college of soloists singers and vocal coaches completes the membership of this booming ensemble. From 2015, this ensemble welcomes artists in multidisciplinary projects and thus proposes a convergence of complementary artistic expressions: theater, declamation, dance, painting, sculpture and photography.
Ensemble de Joux performs at festivals and concert seasons as well as private individuals and concerts, weddings, banquets and other celebrations, openings and corporate events.
These musicians engage indeed their culture, their art and their fervor to render at best the subtle facets of a living music, from the echoes of the jewels of the Renaissance to the contemporary creations. They are happy to share this passion with other artists, visual artists, photographers, dancers, storytellers and other professional ensembles in Switzerland as in Europe, to build large-scale projects, tackle musical challenges and design new co-productions with others. actors on the Swiss and international scene to advance exchanges between musicians and other European artists. |
