The American soprano, Heather Cogswell, obtained her undergraduate degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University (1996); and her Master of Arts degree in Music Education with Kodaly emphasis from the University of St. Thomas.
Heather Cogswell has performed with numerous groups in the Twin Cities including Consortium Carissimi (since 2010), Bach Society of Minnesota, Rose Ensemble, and Gregorian Singers. She has also participated as a soloist in Bach Tage Mount Olive Lutheran Church (Director: Kathy Saltzman Romey).
In addition to performing, Heather Cogswell taught music in the public schools for 8 years and continues to teach early childhood music classes. She taught music to children in kindergarten through 12th grade and has also taught early childhood music to children birth to age 5 and their parents.
Heather Cogswell joined the staff at Parkview United Church of Christ in White Bear Lake, Minnesota in 2004 as the church's organist. She has been Director of Music and the choir director since 2012. She currently lives in New Brighton, Minnesota. |
