Christine Cerletti (Soprano)

Born: May 19, 1950 - Basel, Switzerland

The Swiss soprano, Christine Cerletti, studied singing with Gret Egli and Margherita Perras in Zürich. From 1979, she began studying applied psychology. In 1985, she returned to her first love. She studied singing with Yvona Prinz in Vienna. Peter Elkus (New York) and Ettore Campogalliani (Assisi) and Gabriel Bacquier (Geneva) were also among her masters.

In 1987, Christine Cerletti joined the Swiss Society of Music Pedagogy in Basel. Her many concerts and recitals have led her to travel across Europe (Germany, Ireland, Poland, Austria, Sweden ...) and the USA. German lieder, oratorio, opera and French chanson form the basis of her repertoire. She draws from her work with the Mozart-Ensemble de Lucerne a strong experience of choral singing. She is also a member of Musica Fiorita (Director: Daniela Dolci). She currently lives in Bottmingen, Switzerland.
