Friedrich Wilhelm Franke (Composer)

Born: June 21, 1862 - Barmen, Germany
Died: April 3, 1932 - Köln, Germany

Friedrich Wilhelm Franke was a German organist and composer. He worked as a teacher for organ, harmony and counterpoint at the Konservatorium in Köln. He was organist of the Gürzenichkonzerte in Köln and at numerous Rheinische music festivals. His life work was dedicated to the renewal efforts of the Evangelist church music. He rendered services around the re-performance of early Evangelist church music forms.
