The Dutch (?) tenor, Twan van der Wolde, graduated in 2024 with Hanneke de Wit at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. He is currently continuing his studies with Maarten Koningsberger.
As a professional ensemble singer, he is associated with renowned choirs such as Cappella Amsterdam (Director: Daniel Reuss), Nederlands Kamerkoor (Director: Peter Dijkstra) and Consensus Vocalis (Director: Béni Csillag). As a tenor soloist, he performed in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the Dutch National Opera Academy, in collaboration with the Residentie Orkest. Twan also performed with conductors such as Peter Dijkstra, Jos Vermunt, Boudewijn Jansen, Louis Buskens, Rob Vermeulen, Nico van der Meel and ensembles such as the Luthers Bach Ensemble, Pearls in Baroque, Concerto d'Amsterdam and The Northern Consort. His concert repertoire includes among others Benjamin Britten's Saint Nicolas Cantata, Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, W.A. Mozart's Requiem, masses by Haydn and W.A. Mozart, George Frideric Handel's Messiah as well as the Matthäus-Passion BWV 244, Johannes-Passion BWV 245, Mass in B minor BWV 232, Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248 and various cantatas by J.S. Bach.
Highlights this season are W.A. Mozart's Krönungsmesse with the Phion orchestra conducted by Rob Vermeulen and J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion BWV 244 with the Orchestra of the 18th Century conducted by Daniel Reuss. |
