Lisa Weiss (Contralto, Double-bass)

Born: Austria

The Austria contralto and double-bass player, Lisa Weiss, discovered her love of music at an early age. She attended the Musikgymnasium Innsbruck, played double-bass in the orchestra and sang in the chamber choir. After her double-bass studies, driven by the joy of singing, she moved to Basel in 2010 to study early music and singing at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. In 2012 she moved to the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and continued her studies in classical singing with Werner Güra.

In her diverse musical life, Lisa Weiss performs as a soloist both concertante and theatrical. She is a singer of the Baroque ensemble Klingzeug and was on stage among others as Cherubino W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Innsbruck, Vienna), as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Rheinfelden) and in several productions of " Konzertanz " in Innsbrucker Vierundeinzig.

Furthermore Lisa Weiss plays double-bass / E-bass plays in the Band 9-Point-Inc. and is a member of the Kernchor der Zürcher Sing-Akademie (Director: Florian Helgath; since 2016), Davos Festival Kammerchor (Director: Andreas Felber), Chor der J.S. Bach-Stiftung St. Gallen (Director: Rudolf Lutz) and Balthasar-Neumann-Chor (Director: Thomas Hengelbrock).
