Samuele Telari (Accordion)

Born: 1992 - Spoleto, Italy

The Italian accordionist, Samuele Telari, got the Master Degree in accordion at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, in M ° Massimiliano Pitocco’s class, with 110 cum Laude and honors . He was awarded in a lot of national and international competitions such as: “Arrasate-Hiria” International Accordion Competition 2018, “Città di Castelfidardo” Prize 2013 Premio Abbado 2016, “Premio Valentino Bucchi” (for Contemporary Music’s interpretation) 2017, Premio “Luigi Nono” 2017, “Premio Zinetti” (Sec. Soloists) 2014, “Premio A. Salieri” 2013, “Premio Civardi” (Val Tidone Competition)” 2013, 3rd place “Wettbewerb Klingenthal Accordion” 2015, “Contemporaneamente Fisarmonica” (Conservatorio “Santa Cecilia”) 2012 and many others. In 2019 he was selected for rapresentation by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT).

In 2017 Samuele Telari's his first Solo CD was released (VDM Records) LIMES, with booklet by Sandro Cappelleto. It has been reviewed by Il Sole 24 Ore, la Repubblica, Giornale della Musica, Suonare News, and broadcasted by Radio Classica and Rai Radio Tre.

Recently Samuele Telari has performed many concerts as a soloist in important Italian and european festivals and concert halls: Kammermusiksaal at the Berliner Philharmonie, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Cité de la danse et de la musique - Strasbourg Conservatoire, IUC - Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti, Conservatory “L.Cherubini” in Firenze, JVLAM (Academy of Music in Riga), Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Conservatorio “F.Morlacchi” di Perugia, St. Petersbourg State Academic Cappella, Hauspoz, Amici della Musica di Padova, Società dei Concerti – Milano, AJAM, Festival Pergolesi-Spontini, Macerata Opera Festival, Festival Nuova Consonanza, Romaeuropa Festival, Elba Isola musicale d’Europa, Amici di Campo lo Feno, Oratorio del Gonfalone, “Val Tidone Festival”, Mantova Musica, Amici della Musica di Foligno, Stagione Concertistica “Filarmonica Umbra “. He has toured in Spain, France, Slovakia, Serbia, Ukraine and Latvia. He co-operated with chamber ensemble and orchestras too: Quartetto Fonè, “I Virtuosi Italiani”, FORM Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, the “State Hermitage Orchestra” among the others.

Very devoted to the development of new literature for accordion, Samuele Telari works on solo and chamber music première with a lot of composers: Marcello Panni, Marcello Filotei, Fabrizio De Rossi Re, Caterina Di Cecca, Massimo Munari, Matteo d’Amico, Simone Maccaglia, Ada Gentile, Simone Cardini, Domenico Turi.

Samuele Telari collaborated also with theater artists as: Giorgio Panariello, in the show “Panariello non esiste” (Arena di Verona), Idalberto Fei in “Onde” (Festival Nuova Consonanza), Sandro Cappelletto in “Mi chiamo forse, Alì”, with music by Matteo d’Amico and Fratelli Mancuso, Lisa Ferlazzo Natoli in “Les Adieux, parole salvate dalle fiamme”.

Engagements this season include recitals at Aldeburgh Festival, Verbier Festival, Wigmore Hall, Ryedale Festival Spring, Festival Villa Solomei.

Samuele Telari is Accordion Professor at the “B.Maderna” Conservatory in Cesena, “Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa” Conservatory in Potenza and “F.A.Bonporti” in Trento.
