The Canadian tenor, Joshua Sutherland, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Voice Performance from the Western University in London, Ontario (2019-2023).
Joshua Sutherland made his operatic role debut as Bardolfo in Verdi’s Falstaff. He is a passionate choral musician hailing from Whitby, Ontario. For him, group singing embodies community and the collaborative spirit, and he enjoys working in various choral leadership positions across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As a singer, he is currently a Sidgwick Scholar with the Orpheus Choir of Toronto (since September 2023); Tenor Lead at The Cathedral Church of St. James (July 2023-March 2025); Tenor Section Lead at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church (since April 2025). He has made appearances with various ensembles across Southern Ontario, including The Elora Singers, Elmer Iseler Singers, and Concreamus.
Joshua Sutherland is also an Assistant Conductor with the Bach Children’s Chorus’ Choir III and Lower Voice Ensemble (since September 2025), and he has held positions as an Intern Conductor with the 2025 Ontario Youth Choir (August 2025) and with Modern Sound Collective (September 2024-August 2025). He is currently working as a Sales Coordinator at Lenbrook Industries (since July 2023). |
