Zsolt Srajber is a multifaceted Hungarian musician, educator, and conductor whose career spans performance, composition, and academic instruction. He has developed a specialized repertoire focusing on early music, choral conducting, and vocal performance as both a tenor and counter-tenor.
Zsolt Srajber’s musical foundation was laid in Hungary before he pursued extensive studies in the United States. He attended the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati on a Fulbright scholarship, where he earned a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting between 1997 and 1999. He furthered his expertise at Indiana University’s Early Music Institute in Bloomington (2000-2009). During his doctoral studies, he focused on early music directing and period instruments, including the traverso (Baroque flute) and vocal performance. His training was guided by notable mentors such as Paul Hillier (conducting) and Paul Elliott (voice).
